Folder Documentation

Abstract
The present folder contains data regarding the mean ECL intensity in the presence of 50 mM KNO3 and 50 mM KCl supporting electrolyte upon applying
chronoamperometric pulses of 0.7 V, 2.4 and 3 V vs Ag/AgCl. In particular, a bar chart is showed. Also, the data regarding the evolution with time of the ECL intensity profiles at the interface of the O2 and Cl2 gas bubbles produced at the
surface of a gold microelectrode are showed. The electrode was immersed in the 0.2 M PBS solution (pH 8), containing 0.5 M H2O2, 0.42 mM L-012 and 50
mM of KNO3 and KCl and the potential of 2.4 V vs Ag/AgCl was applied for 20 s.

Content of the files:

• file “ mean_ECL_intensity_plot.xlsx " contains 3 sheets:
" Intensity profiles 2.4 V, KNO3 " contains the extracted data from the image sequence (278 images) of the intensity profiles at the interface of the O2 and Cl2 gas bubbles produced at 2.4 V on the surface of a gold microelectrode.
 The electrode was immersed in the 0.2 M PBS solution (pH 8), containing 0.5 M H2O2, 0.42 mM L-012 and 50 mM KNO3 and the potential of 2.4 V vs Ag/AgCl was applied for 20 s.
" Intensity profiles 2.4 V, KCl " contains the extracted data from the image sequence (375 images) of the intensity profiles at the interface of the O2 and Cl2 gas bubbles produced at 2.4 V on the surface of a gold microelectrode.
The electrode was immersed in the 0.2 M PBS solution (pH 8), containing 0.5 M H2O2, 0.42 mM L-012 and 50 mM KCl and the potential of 2.4 V vs Ag/AgCl was applied for 20 s.
" histogram " contains data regarding the mean ECL intensity in the presence of 50 mM KNO3 and 50 mM KCl supporting electrolyte upon applying
chronoamperometric pulses of 0.7 V, 2.4 and 3 V vs Ag/AgCl.

Codebook of variables

In the reported tabular quantitative files (.xlsx), the columns represent:

Sheet "Intensity profiles 2.4V, KNO3":

• Coloumn A = x axis - distance from the centre of the microelectrode (in µm)

• Columns B-AA (values in rows 3-418) = y axis - luminescence intensity (in a.u.)

• Columns B-AA (title - row 1) = z axis - time (in s)

Sheet "Intensity profiles 2.4V, KCl":

• Coloumn A = x axis - distance from the centre of the microelectrode (in µm)

• Columns B-AA (values in rows 3-443) = y axis - luminescence intensity (in a.u.)

• Columns B-AA (title - row 1) = z axis - time (in s)

Sheet "histogram":

• Coloumn A = x axis - microelectrode potential (in V)

• Columns B and D = y axis - luminescence intensity (in a.u.)

• Columns C and E = y error (in a.u.) - mean value of three independent measurements
