Abstract

A highly linear converter MMIC with integrated LO amplifier and doubler is presented. Operating from a single 5V supply, the converter achieves 8 dB conversion loss as upconverter and 10dB as downconverter over the 21 – 32 GHz frequency band. With an IM3 suppression of – 50 dBc for Pin = 0 dBm, the converters are attractive for LMDS systems requiring high linearity.
