Abstract

The paper presents a new EM simulator for the analy­sis of multiconductor/multilayer transmission lines, ap­plicable up to frequencies well above the range of va­lidity of conventional quasi-TEM approaches. In rea­sonably short computing times the simulator yields the dispersion of the transmission-line modes, various types of characteristic impedance matrices and reveals the oc-currance of higher mode propagation. Some examples demonstrate the flexibility and the efficiency of the sim­ulator.
