Abstract

Very small, Wide-band and low loss GaAs MMIC Bessel-Thomson, Gaussian and dissipative low-pass filters are proposed as low signal distortion filtering elements suitable for inclusion into high-speed fiber optic receivers. Five-element 2 5, 5 and 10 Gb/s filters using lumped reactive elements have been designed and fabricated using a standard MMIC foundry process.
