Abstract

On October 9, 2024, the University of Bologna hosted an international event titled: “Back to fundamentals of research: Interdisciplinarity”. The event featured distinguished speakers and scholars from national and international institutions who shared their insights on interdisciplinary research and some recommendations on how foster this approach for all stakeholders, from researchers to institutions. The second of the two roundtables gathered the perspectives of 6 researchers and was moderated by prof. Anna Chiara Fariselli, Former Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies (ISA), University of Bologna. Three of the researchers are ISA visiting fellows, and the other three ISA Doctoral Prize Winners at the University of Bologna. Each researcher presented a case study and then answered questions posed by the moderator. This deck of slides includes all the case studies presented.
