Abstract

This dataset contains the data of measured and calculated indexes on water use efficiency of lettuce production in a vertical farming system, using either an ebb-and-flow hydroponics or an aeroponic system. WUE values are calculated based on irrigation requirements only, or using irrigation plus accessory water use (e.g., for cleaning trays and air humidification), or also when dehumidification from the cultivation room atmosphere allowed to recover water that was then diverted into the irrigation system. All data were obtained at AlmaVFarm, the experimental vertical farm of the University of Bologna.
