Abstract
This volume investigates feminist photography as a critical field of cultural production, examining the material and immaterial conditions through which it has been produced, circulated, contested, and remembered. Bringing together perspectives from Italy and transnational contexts, the contributions examine a range of case studies that highlight diverse genealogies of feminist photography and feminist scholarship. In doing so, they foreground a plurality of histories, methods, and critical perspectives while attending to the networks, archives, publications, exhibitions, institutions, and forms of labour that have shaped the visibility and historical inscription of feminist photographic work.
