Abstract
The HYBRIS Interviews Metadata Dataset documents the structure, scope, and characteristics of the empirical materials collected within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie project HYBRIS – Hybrid Trajectories of Transnational Islamism. The project investigates the evolution of North African Islamist movements in diaspora, with a particular focus on the transnational trajectories of Tunisian and Algerian activists across Europe and North America. The dataset provides standardized metadata describing the project's qualitative research materials, including semi-structured interviews, digital ethnographic observations, archival sources, organizational documents, and social media content. Rather than containing the primary research data, the dataset offers detailed information on each source, including its type, date of collection, geographical location, thematic focus, language, and methodological classification. Metadata have been organized to facilitate transparency, reproducibility, and future reuse while ensuring compliance with ethical standards and data protection requirements. The metadata support comparative analyses of transnational political activism, diaspora mobilization, digital communication, and the hybridization of Islamist movements under varying political and institutional contexts. By making the organization and provenance of the research materials publicly available, the dataset contributes to FAIR data principles and promotes methodological transparency in qualitative social science research.
