Abstract

The data contained in this dataset refer to the effect of different method and rate of nitrogen (N) on grapevine root growth. Plants were planted in 2011 and, since 2014, they were subjected to surface and fertigation N application, at rates of 0, 40 and 100 kg N ha^-1 year^-1. Root system morphology was evaluated with the minirhizotron technique in the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons. In the dataset information on root number (alive and dead), surface area of root, length and diameter are reported.
