Abstract

The present dataset includes data generated as part of the ECLectic Project, focusing on the generation of electrochemiluminescence (ECL) through an autocatalytic mechanism between persulfate (S2O82-), oxalate (C2O42-), hexaamineruthenium(III) (Ru(NH3)63+) and tris(2,2’-bi-pyridyl)ruthenium(II) (Ru(bpy)32+). The experiments were carried out on a glassy carbon (GC) electrode. This dataset provides evidence of an ECL generation pathway with a large emitting layer at low overpotentials, employing non-toxic coreagents.
