Abstract
This dataset contains data from a field experiment conducted on bearing walnut trees in Northern Italy, aimed at evaluating the effects of different organic amendments on soil properties and greenhouse gas emissions. The treatments included compost derived from agro-food chain residues, compost from municipal organic waste, and biochar, which were compared with conventional mineral fertilization (urea) and an unfertilized control. The dataset includes measurements of soil N₂O emissions monitored from early summer through winter, together with data on mineral nitrogen availability (ammonium and nitrate concentrations) and soil microbial biomass. In addition, measurements of soil temperature and moisture are provided for all treatments throughout the monitoring period.
