Abstract

This dataset includes the summary documents of the two Social Policy Labs carried out in Lisbon within the framework of PLUS: • Session 2 - local Level: “Labour Rights and organization in Platform Economy” (November 2020) • Session 3 - local Level: "How to innovate Welfare for Platform Workers” (January 2022) In both cases the SoPoLabs involved platform workers, academic scholars and policymakers in structured debate around key topics regarding platform labour and its socio-economic consequences at the urban scale. “PLUS_16F_PLUS.WP7 Lisbon Sopolabs_Labour_20201021” gives an overview of the local level SoPo lab on the topic "Labour Rights and organization in Platform Economy” that took place 27 November 2020. Several stakeholders engaged with platform economy were recruited to discuss issues related to labour organization and platform workers’ rights in the context of COVID19 pandemic. “PLUS_16H_PLUS.WP7 Lisbon Sopolabs_Welfare_20220126” gives an overview of the local level SoPo lab on the topic “How to innovate Welfare for Platform Workers” that took place in January 2022. It aimed to identify practical initiatives that can be taken to extend welfare and social security coverage for platform workers.
