Abstract

[Zhivoe nasledie Khlebnikova] This article deals with the problem of Khlebnikov’s heritage and its influence on Russian poets. It shows different ways in which the poets interact with Khlebnikov’s texts, with his insights and discoveries in the field of poetics. Authors of the second half of the twentieth century engage in a dialogue with Khlebnikov, dedicating poems to him, using techniques he discovered. Khlebnikov is presented as “the greatest poet” of the twentieth century (as defined by R.O. Jakobson), as the trunk of a large tree, from which branches and young shoots arise. In fact, through new generations of poets, Khlebnikov enters the future and thus acquires immortality.
